Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D Taylor is set in the state of Mississippi in the deep South of America.  The narrator is a nine year old black girl, Cassie Logan, who lives in a small rural community in Spokane County.  Through her eyes we see the effects of racial prejudice and discrimination.  This enthralling novel makes us consider our own attitudes and makes us give fresh thought to our ideas about justice.

Our work pack contains story summaries, vocabulary lists, comments and questions   for every chapter in the novel.  A large variety of worksheets,  suitable for many different levels of ability, provide copious support for classes studying this important novel.
